USA SCAM

We at GadgetS Galore are aware of a scam going on in the USA regarding special promotions and subscriptions. 

Gadgets Galore is a South African based company and do not work in US $ only in ZAR South African Rand. 

We do not operate outside of our country’s borders.

We get constant emails from people who had been scammed by this so called promotions. 

What we have hear so far from the victims

  1. They have received and email stating from Walmart or other companies that the can get products on a special price and only have to pay $1.95 for it. Products like ninja kitchen, phones, etc.
  2. When they apply they insert the card details on the website to pay for the shipping or product. 
  3. After awhile they get a deduction of $99.95 or $89.95 taken from there card.
  4. When the payment go through it shows Gadget Galore Saving. We are Gadgets Galore.
  5. New info is that victims have ordered Amazon return pallets via facebook adverts. We do not have any association with Amazon.

GadgetS Galore South Africa do not work in Dollars and by law we are not allowed to have a savings account for any Business operations in South Africa. 

The reference state Gadget and not our name Gadgets see the S at the back on our logo and website.

The deduction is in dollar that we do not work with. NON of our Payment Gateways accept DOLLARS. 

All our Clients place their orders and select the payment gateway they want to use.
Then on final approval they need to authorized the transaction manually via their banking app.
We cannot do any deductions without their authorization.
We also do not keep any record of the customers banking or card details on our system as we make use of 3rd party payment gateways that operate only in South Africa. 

Our Website Prices is only in ZAR as we do not cater for international currencies or sales.

We have also heard that victims say they have phone our number 0878213764 but it does not work.  Our number on the website is not in international code format, we only operate in South Africa, If you want to call us add a +27 at the front and remove the 0. We only answer the phone during our working hours in South African Time. 

All deductions are made from Gadget Galore Savings. That is not our company. We are GadgetS Galore.

We would suggest that you go to your banking institution  to check if they can trace where the deduction is coming from as we cannot assist via South Africa and we do not have any authority or details on your account or the account that charge you. 

We did not steal your money.

We did not take any money form any person without them doing a order on our website and authorized the sale themselves.

We do not offer any Subscription services on our website or on any other platform. You buy online and that is it no extra fees.

This is one of the websites where clients have brought from …bonanzapronto.com we do not have the full url as this screenshot was send to us by a victim. 

Checking the domain on the bit we can see the domain is not registered on whois. If someone can give us the full URL we can check if we can get the owners details on Whois.

Our Domain is gadgetsgalore.co.za which the co.za say clearly we are a South African Company and registered as one. 

Our website and branding is ORANGE and Black not blue like the screenshot received. 

Gadgets Galore only have one Domain registered and only operate from this url: https://gadgetsgalore.co.za 

All our emails are send from …@gadgetsgalore.co.za and we DONOT us a free email account like Gmail, yahoo, Hotmail or outlook.

Conclusion

Gadgets Galore South Africa do not operate in the US and is not part of the the scam you where a victim of.
We do not have any authority to deduct money from your account without your approval and do not keep any record of your cards or accounts. Our 3rd party payment gateways do all our transaction.
All our card processing is done by Yoco. you can contact them via there website. https://yoco.com
We have only one South African registered domain gadgetsgalore.co.za. we do not use links to other domains only when a client do an purchase.
We do not operate in US $ only in South African Rand ZAR if you take our current exchange rate  to a dollar 2022/07/29 we will not make any deduction of R1641.81 for an subscription.
Gadgets Galore do not offer subscriptions services. 

As Gadgets Galore do not operate in the US we do not and will not do further investigation in this matter as this in not applicable to our company as we operate only in South Africa.

It may feel, that we do not care but unfortunately this wasn’t us, the Company name is Gadget Galore and not GadgetS Galore. 

We were scolded at, accused as thieves, scam artist and much more. Gadgets Galore will not communicate any further in this matter with victims and we will suggest the following.

  1. Take this matter to your banking institution and open a fraud case with them. 
  2. Go to your local law enforcement agency to open a case if you want to proceed.  
  3. Make sure in future that you keep your banking /card details save and do not buy form site you do not know or trust. In South Africa our banks offer online cards that you can create just for online purchases,  when you are done with the purchase you block your card to avoid deductions in future. 
  4. If you don’t trust us and want to proceed with legal action against our company. Please make sure your attorney have jurisdiction in South Africa as we will not be entertained by legal entities that do not have.
  5. If you find out more about this scam please send us the information to publish here that other victims can see and be informed.
